For artists, educators, groups and organizations providing arts learning opportunities to K-12 school groups:
Piedmont Council of the Arts (PCA) is updating the Community Arts Education Handbook, a directory of area arts programs and opportunities offered to school groups during the academic year. The handbook provides K-12 educators with a single resource for arts programs available to their classes. This strengthens the connection between schools and the broader arts community.
If you offer any arts learning opportunities for school groups, either scheduled or open-ended programs, we want to include you in the 2009-10 Community Arts Education Handbook!
To get listed, please complete the ARTS ED PROGRAM SURVEY, which will allow you to send us exact information about the programs you offer. Use the link above to submit your program details to PCA by Friday, July 31st.
PCA will make arts advocacy presentations for area school leaders throughout the year to promote this resource. At the meetings, we’ll distribute the 2009-10 Community Arts Education Handbook and encourage administrators to make the arts a priority in their schools.
